COMMUNITY  SUPPORT

The ETHNICS COMMUNITIES COUNCIL of LOGAN (ECCL) a local Not For Profit organisation have weekly street markets. These markets have been established for over five years and assist migrants to integrate into, and become part of the local community. A wide range of FRESH fruit and vegetables, most of it grown on their own farms, is available to purchase. Also available in the HOT FOOD section, is freshly cooked foods from several different countrys.

Recently, ECCL established another weekend markets in a large park owned by the Logan City Council. These markets are held on saturday mornings and are popular with both stall holders, and the local residents.

Volunteers at BUSHTUNE INTERNATIONAL work with local community support services, and assist by having our own food stall at both markets, selling drinks and Aussie food. We also assist ECCL with managing the markets and look after the HOT FOOD section.
